Restored Asymmetrical Art Deco Sideboard with Display Top 1940s

We are incredibly proud to present a monumental and highly spacious two-piece credenza. This piece is a perfect example of transitional design, blending the architectural, grounded solidity of late Art Deco with the modern, asymmetrical functionality that became popular in early Mid-Century Modernism. HYPNOTIZING WOODWORK AND VENEER The absolute masterpiece of this furniture is its woodwork. Both the front doors and the wide side panels are covered in a highly figured, premium veneer. The cabinetmaker utilized the book-matching technique, meticulously arranging the wood leaves to create a perfectly symmetrical, flame-like natural image. This mesmerizing, dynamic grain is completely unique. ASYMMETRICAL LAYOUT AND STORAGE With a generous width of 154 cm, this furniture offers an immense storage capacity and a highly unusual, modern layout: The Lower Sideboard: Features a surprising asymmetrical design. The left side houses a large door concealing a sturdy wooden shelf. The right side features a sliding-glass display section at the top, with a spacious double-door cabinet below. The Top Extension: A visually lighter display unit measuring 126 cm in width. The center is enclosed by sliding glass doors, flanked by two lockable side cabinets. All three locks are fully functional, and a key is included. RESTORATION AND FINISH The piece has undergone a comprehensive restoration in our specialized workshop. All old, degraded varnishes were stripped down to the bare wood. The surface was then finished with premium, eco-friendly hard wax oil. This modern treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the depth of the wood grain while protecting the surface against moisture and daily use, completely avoiding the artificial gloss of synthetic lacquers. The interior is flawlessly clean. DIMENSIONS Total Height: 117 cm. Base Cabinet: Width 154 cm, Depth 50 cm, Height 81 cm. Top Cabinet: Width 126 cm, Depth 28 cm, Height 36 cm.
