Rare antique elm table

Antique elm table – rare piece, single-plank top. Description: Magnificent antique table made of solid elm. The elm used for this piece is exceptionally old: today, this tree no longer survives due to a fungus that is decimating it worldwide. Creating a single-plank top of this size and quality has become almost impossible these days. This table can be integrated into various settings: Preserved in its current state to highlight its authenticity and natural patina. Reworked with a contemporary design in mind: the wood can become very dark with a slightly satin finish, and the legs can be patinated in a deep black, creating an elegant and modern contrast. We have also preserved a small piece in this style, which perfectly illustrates this effect (see attached photo). This unique piece is therefore much more than a simple piece of furniture: it is a work of art in its own right, combining history, rarity, and exceptional aesthetic potential.
