Charming large mirror with an enamelled cast iron frame in a lovely baby pink colour. Its elegant, simple, symmetrical oval shape evokes the Art Deco style, with small returns at the top resembling little plant shoots, a small remnant of the Art Nouveau style. I would date it to the first half of the 20th century, perhaps the 1930s. At the back, it has a metal piece for hanging on the wall, and four riveted pivoting feet in the frame help keep the mirror in place. A piece of thin cardboard was inserted at the back to protect the mirror, I imagine. This cardboard was damaged and not very clean, so I replaced it with a piece of cardboard of the same size and thickness. The mirror and frame are in very good condition for their age, with no scratches, just three small light brown spots (about 1 mm) at the bottom of the frame, which are not very visible. There is a small paint stain on the back edge of the frame, a tiny chip (less than half a millimetre) on the enamel at the left outer edge, and one at the back where it is fixed. It measures 49 cm in height, 39 cm in width, and 2 cm in thickness, weighing approximately 3.2 kg. The price of the mirror also includes the time and materials for extremely secure packaging.
