Colorful Art Nouveau Majolica Flowerpot / Cache-pot France

A beautiful and colorful Art Nouveau flower pot or cache-pot, crafted from polychrome-glazed majolica earthenware with a crackle finish. It features a lovely depiction of a bouquet of flowers in a woven basket and is glazed in turquoise on the inside. Marked on the bottom "FFAS Made in France"; dating to the early 20th century. These flower pots are rare—Art Nouveau vases are far more common—making the cache-pots highly sought after by majolica collectors. This fine flower pot is in very good condition, showing only minor signs of age and use consistent with its vintage—such as light scratches on the base and one tiny chip (3mm) in the glaze of a rose—yet the piece still looks fantastic; please see the photos for details.
