Like all kilims the weaving technique makes it possible to render the patterns on the 2 sides of the carpet - this explains the variations in the photos and leaves you a choice also in terms of decoration: the underside that has never seen the light has brighter and modern colors; the upper side further highlights the history and ancient character of this carpet.
