An original 1960s ceiling lamp produced by NAPAKO, one of the most important lighting manufacturers in former Czechoslovakia. Its design reflects the celebrated Czech Brussels style of the late 1950s and early 1960s which a distinctive Mid-Century Modern aesthetic that emerged following the international success of Czechoslovak design at Expo 58 in Brussels. While a number of variations of this model were produced, this particular version is among the rarer and more sought-after examples. The lamp features a beautifully shaped circular glass shade with a gently curved, dish-like profile. Its finely engraved pattern adds depth and texture to the design, giving the piece a distinctive architectural quality. Particularly captivating is the glass itself, which transitions from a warm golden-yellow centre to a deep green perimeter, creating a rich visual effect both when illuminated and at rest. A delicate brass-coloured ring near the outer edge provides the perfect finishing detail. The lamp remains in good vintage condition. The glass shows only minor signs of age-related wear along the edges, which are difficult to notice in everyday use. The metal components display light patina consistent with age. All parts are original and fully functional, making this a beautiful and increasingly rare example of Czech Mid-Century lighting.
