Vintage lamp base glazed ceramic DLG Mary Ody - France 1970

1960s-1970s table lamp base, sourced in Provence, featuring an organically shaped glazed ceramic base topped with a cylindrical neck and a brass metal fitting. The piece is distinguished by its figurative landscape decoration composed of houses with rustic roofs, reliefs, and vegetation, treated in a subtle palette of ivory, sienna, brown ochre, and grey-blue. The brown contours with irregular lines contrast with the light background and the slightly speckled glossy glaze. A piece in an organic modernist style that may evoke the work of Michel Bailly or Marie Ody, rare on the market and in perfect condition (note a firing irregularity in the photo).
