Caricature drawing signed by Georges Lavagne 1950

Very beautiful original and unique drawing produced by the designer, poster designer and painter georges lavagne (1902-1995) in 1950. It represents a caricature of one of his friends who lived in deux-sevres. It is autographed with a funny little note for the same friend to whom he gave this drawing. This drawing is under glass, in a pretty patinated gilded wood frame, revealing red reflections in places (perhaps originally red and gilded to best frame this caricature?), equipped with a clip on the back. Back. The whole is in good condition, the lines and colors (red and black) do not seem faded by the sun. We still note some very slight discolorations on the paper and 4 tiny insects (“storm beasts” as we call them at home) which managed to slip under the glass, grrr! The painting measures 36 cm by 23 cm with a thickness of 1 cm.
