The tea service is handmade by a Tunisian artisan, "Katia, " a designer specialised in glass painting. The wrought iron of Sidi Bousaid, Tunisia, is a sky blue pattern, a craftsmanship serving a typical architectural element. Most of the motifs are primarily inspired by arabesques, Sidi Bousaid (a small village in northern Tunisia classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979), Berber art, and the desert environment of southern Tunisia, such as the Hand of Fatma, palm trees, or Arabic letters.
