Mexican painting on amate from the 70s

This vintage painting on amate paper signed "luciano maximo" is typical of mexican folk art. This paper is made from the bark of the fig tree. The paintings represent mexican folklore, village life or fauna and flora (as is the case here) in shimmering colors. This traditional painting beautifully framed has retained all of its beauty, the colors have remained very bright despite the passage of time.
