Pair of wooden and straw armchairs

Boom for the brutalist and very designer line of these wood and straw armchairs from the 40s and 50s. A beautiful, singular and unusual discovery, of which we do not know their exact origin. However, their ancient manufacture reminds us of the work of charlotte perriand or charles dudouyt. Their structure is in expertly crafted solid turned oak. The backrest and seat are made of woven straw. These charming armchairs have traces of their age visible throughout their structure (see photos). These old foundations nevertheless remain solid and sublime. The wood has a warm, velvety patina. The seat height is relatively low and perfectly suited to the living room. Seat height - 35cm. The backrest is subtly worked and gives a very particular brutalist design look. We like the presence of the bar behind the backrest where a blanket can be placed. These old armchairs will blend perfectly with a modern and neat decor and will bring the desired sophisticated and personal bohemian touch.
