Suspension "Zefiro" by Mario Botta for Artemide, 1988

Italian work, 1988. H 100 X W 60 X D 36 cm. Lacquered metal. Good condition. A tubular structure of black lacquered metal, stretched like a cantilever, holding at a distance a reflector made of curved and perforated sheet metal, lacquered white: when lit, the white sheet appears to float alone under the ceiling. Botta designed the Zefiro for Artemide in 1988; primarily an architect, he only signs a handful of light fixtures and treats them as small constructions, with a load-bearing framework and a supported element, nothing decorative between the two. The diffuser is made of lacquered white perforated sheet metal, consistent with documented models. Good condition.
