Rare set of Marenco lounge chairs in leather by Mario Marenco for ARFLEX Italy

The unique design and the wide modularity still make marenco a must of contemporary furniture. Designed by mario merenco for arflex italy in 1970s. Unmistakable design, wide modularity, comfort, softness, experimentation and style. It is these characteristics that make the marenco sofa, designed by architect mario marenco for arflex, still today a must of contemporary furniture. Born in 1970, its creator in making it wanted to combine resistance and comfort with the possibilities given by the use of metal tubing coupled with polyurethane padding. Each cushion of the back, seat and armrests is padded, individually upholstered and is equipped with a supporting structure in tubular that simply slips into the fixed base in poplar wood. Condition: Both single seaters are in a good vintage condition without any damage or repairs. The original foam is still in a very good condition. The fine italian leather looks stunning on these chairs. Very nice patina! Dimensions: W121 X d96 X h70 cm. This early set is not signed or labeled.
