A rare and iconic modular sofa designed by Pierre Cardin, dating back to the 1970s. A piece of extraordinary aesthetic impact and historical significance, it is a perfect example of the sophisticated design and glamorous elegance that characterized the famous French fashion designer's furniture creations. Expertly designed for the era, the set comprises five independent elements that allow for multiple configurations, adaptable to any space. The solid structure is defined by bases and perimeters in refined, high-gloss black lacquer, creating a sharp, elegant contrast with the soft, multi-level, raised upholstery. The seating is fully upholstered in fine original silk, featuring a sophisticated abstract feather-like pattern in warm shades of beige and brown. As the sofa dates back 50 years, it is natural for the lacquer to show some signs of wear—as seen in the photos—particularly along the base's perimeter. There are also some faint marks on the cushions and two small holes in the silk (both located on the upper backrests), as shown in the photographs. Free shipping in France, possibility of shipping throughout Europe and worldwide. Ask for a quote.
