This salt bottle is made of glass enhanced with golden flowers on the leaf. It is hallmarked silver on top. (punch to identify, maybe wolf's head?). It does not have its original cap. It is in superb condition, we report minimal scratches for the most picky. These small vials were used to wake up ladies prone to fainting because of tight corsets. The ladies kept it in their pockets or bags, but more often as a pendant around the neck hanging with charms so as not to be caught off guard when these horrible fumes came. They were made to breathe these salts and the corseted ladies who were subject to many discomforts came to their senses. The salt bottle was a pretext to show off a beautiful object that would be placed after use on a bedroom or boudoir furniture. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of this charming object. For the state thank you to detail the photos. M1286. Feel free to zoom in. Photos are an integral part of the description. Size: height with ring: 5.4 cm. Height without ring: 4.6 cm. Length: 2 cm. Thickness: 0.6 cm.
