French Art Deco bistro table REX with a bakelite top, circa 1930.

French Art Deco bistro or garden table from the 1930s. The table features a round yellow Bakelite top with a black moulded Bakelite edge and a black underside. The underside is marked "REX – Trademark – Patented S.G.D.G." The top is supported by a black cast iron tripod base with Art Deco geometric details. The table is in its original vintage condition with visible signs of age and use: wear, loss of paint, and oxidation on the base, surface marks, and signs of use on the top. A section of the black Bakelite edge is missing, mainly on the underside/edge, without affecting the yellow surface of the top. Suitable as a small bistro table, garden table, side table, or occasional table.
