13 antique brass beaded cleanliness plaques with handle – 19th century

A beautiful set of 13 antique brass cleanliness plates, accompanied by a door handle, featuring very lovely scalloped shapes and beaded or molded borders. The set offers a nice golden patina and a homogeneous vintage condition, with signs of use that testify to its age. These plates are typical of decorative hardware from the late 19th century and the very early 20th century, probably around 1880-1910. Their beaded decoration, symmetrical shapes, and rounded pediments reflect a Louis XVI / Napoleon III style, highly appreciated in bourgeois interiors of that period. Some pieces seem to come from slightly different series or models, which gives the set particular interest for the restoration of doors, furniture, cabinets, or antique woodwork.
