Strafor swivel office armchair in chrome metal and black skai

This very beautiful and comfortable swivel armchair produced by strafor oem (les forges de strasbourg - modern economic organization) in the 60s or 70s, presents a pretty modernist design with its structure in chromed steel tubes with a square section, and its fittings in black leatherette. I couldn't find the name of the designer but strafor has collaborated with recognized designers. Under the seat, we find the metal label “oem strafor” as well as the number 7404 and even a chalk mark, probably the signature of the person who inspected the chair when it left the factory! It is equipped with 4 slightly articulated chrome steel glides which allow the chair to adapt to all floors and always be perfectly stable. It is adjustable in height (by rotating the large cylindrical part on the axis of the chair). The structure is in good condition, it is solid and stable, no corrosion, but a slight pitting or sail in places and a small loss on the chrome on one of the skates. The seat is in good structural condition, still well formed and soft, but the leatherette has a small hole on the front left corner. The backrest has a tear on the underside which has been roughly sewn up, the seam seems rather solid and is barely visible because it is located under the backrest. The armrests each have a tear with a significant loss and a few other less visible defects (abrasions, small non-perforating tears, scratches). addition of 04/16/24: a small crack appeared on the leatherette of the seat, see last photo (this armchair is "stored" in our living room, my daughter sometimes kneels on the seat and spins the armchair ;) it's so fun ;) This armchair deserves a nice restoration. It measures 57.5 cm in width, approximately 49 cm in total depth, approximately 44 cm in seat depth. Its seat height is adjustable between 39 cm and 50 cm. Its height at the backrest ranges from 69 cm to 80 cm. I offer deliveries within a radius of approximately 1.5 hours around my home, or even further depending on the destination, but these do not always appear, even when you enter your postal code, so do not hesitate to ask me delivery quote.
