Engelstuhl cane bistro chair by Hofmann Austria

"Engelstuhl" chair signed Mundus, obviously a production of Joseph HOFMANN (Vienna, Austria) from the years 1907/1908 in bentwood and caned seat. Similar to the models n°36 at KOHN. Ready to put into service Original walnut stain under shellac. This chair is in perfect condition, the caning is perfect (cane 2.2 X 2.4 mm-). The chair bears the MUNDUS label and is a production of the Hofmann factory in Bielitz (Austro-Hungary) Dimensions: Total height: 90 cm. Seat height: 47 cm. Seat diameter: 40 cm. Total width: 45 cm Note that Hofmann Joseph is an Austrian bentwood manufacturer who worked from 1880 to 1907 under his brand, he then joined the Mundus Consortium with his production.
