Reproduction (lithograph?) of a drawing by pierre joseph redouté (1759 – 1840) of a branch of honeysuckle (lonicera) with pretty colors. The original plate was part of the book "choice of the most beautiful flowers and some branches of the most beautiful fruits" collecting watercolor drawings by pj redouté. It is framed by a quality frame with the appearance of burl wood (real lacquered burl wood or rather composite material perfectly imitating burl wood) and glass. The frame has a label from the framer in angers with a telephone number without the area code, so this frame dates from before 1996, but probably rather from the 70s or 80s because I found it with other objects from that period. The whole is in very good condition, only the dressing on the back shows signs of its age. The frame measures 32 cm by 26 cm with a thickness of 1 cm.
