Pair of brass wall lamps or lamp legs

Pair of wall sconces that can be transformed into a brass lamp stand. Important ornamental work in the second empire style, more likely early twentieth century. The sconces have a pendulum system that allows them to be tilted to orient the light. Used in lamps, they can also be oriented; perfect for an office or library. A support can accommodate globe or tulip with a fixing spring. The sconces are sold in their original condition, electricity not redone. The sconces are removable to be cleaned and electrified. Height 25 cm, base 12 cm in diameter. Quite heavy objects.
