Elegant antique trumeau from the Napoleon III period (circa 1850), in the Louis XV style, composed of a painting on canvas and a mirror in the lower part. The frame is in gilded wood, finely decorated with shells, foliage and flowers, typical of the rocaille style. The upper part presents a bucolic scene painted in oil: peaceful river, boat, country house and stone bridge in a wooded landscape - a very decorative and soothing composition. The mirror at the bottom of the trumeau is of old origin, with some marks of time that reinforce its charm. The whole has retained a very beautiful patina, with some wear consistent with its age. Good general condition. Some minor chips visible on the frame (see photos) and micro-cracks in the canvas, without structural impact.
