Sideboard by Philipp Hussey edited by White & Newton 60/70

Large sideboard, Phillip Hussey design in minimalist style in teak and afromosia (african teak) made by White and Newton. This model, was the top of the range and measures more than 2 meters long. Models, mainly sold by heals of london and specially commissioned for wood choices and finishes. White and newton manufactured very good quality dining furniture at a standard price (and presumably) similar to g plan and mcintosh until the 1980s. The room is in excellent condition, see original contest condition, with very very slight traces of use and patina of time on top, front, side of the room and feet, what can be expected for a room of almost 60 years, (see photos.), it was simply cleaned - two opening doors end with a lot of storage. Each compartment has a shelf. (please note the right inner shelf has some old traces of use. 3 sumptuous central drawers all functional: the top one in black skai is intended for cutlery (slight traces of use in drawers see photos). Even if the manufacturer's brand is not present, its design cannot be confusing. Simple design, elegant with warm colors and soft angles. The coin had only one owner who bought it in 1967. A piece really can frequent and rare on the market, which I am glad to have the chance to have on a daily basis. Drawers: p 42 xl 38, caissons 42 xl 78. Free delivery by Selency in France.
