Vintage Scandinavian magazine stand

Bamboo magazine stand featuring a clean and functional structure, with a textured glass top and a lower compartment formed by two slatted shelves. Its compact proportions and lightweight construction make it a versatile furnishing accessory, suitable both as a side table and as practical storage. During the 1960s, pieces of this kind were often placed beside an armchair or next to the household telephone. The upper shelf provided a convenient surface for the telephone or everyday objects, while the lower shelves were designed to hold newspapers, magazines and the indispensable telephone directories that were once found in every home.
