Former big fruit cutters Brown Westhead Moore & co monogrammed XIX

Rare old compotier, fruit cup in Marian blue earthenware, pale blue monogrammed m (and may be another letter) from a castle in the Dauphiné. Beautiful grips in the shape of knotted ribbon. The monogram is found twice on the pedestal. Period second half XIX. Not stamped, but of the same origin as the other parts of this service, moreover it is a known and listed model of the English manufacture Brown Westhead Moore & Co specialized in the production of services including many pieces for castles and hostelry. The factory also offered the possibility of personalizing its pieces of crockery with the cipher, coat of arms, motto of its noble buyers.
