Crystal water pitcher by daum nancy, art deco, model "berny"

Daum nancy france. Beautiful pitcher, or water broc, with curved ovoid body, made of translucent crystal blown with a cane and hot worked with a tool, enriched, on the periphery of the base, with a stylized frieze of vertical motifs engraved with acid. Handle formed, brought back and hot welded to the tool; brand of the pontil, carefully ground, on the reverse of the base. Interesting and rare work from the art deco era, 1930s. Manufacture of the daum brothers in nancy, model "berny" (also named, more marginally, "briançon"). Old production. The pitcher is well signed, on the reverse of the base, with a stamp released with acid, but this signature is almost erased: it is very difficult to see; be careful: the signature is almost invisible. It is however present (no doubt, therefore, about the origin of the object: it was indeed produced by daum), but it has, over time, faded...||| dimensions: total height, 16.00 cm; neck diameter, 11.00 cm; diameter at the base, 10.00 cm.||| condition report: very good overall condition. No shock, no shrapnel or accident; crystal clear, shiny and unaltered, unopacified (no limestone veil). I nevertheless report some scratches on the body of the pitcher, discreet and without incidence (normal wear of use, almost invisible); as well as a circular stripe, a little more marked, that I photograph on photos n°3 and following. This stripe is quite discreet, it does not harm the interest of the pitcher, but it is nevertheless worth mentioning. The pitcher, moreover, remains in excellent condition, and is very decorative.
