Low Art Deco Mahogany Cabinet With Asymmetrical Shelves

Period: ca. 1940-1950 a lovely little art deco cabinet with an asymmetrical top and rounded edges. It has been veneered in warm-toned mahogany wood. The upper part of the cabinet has a veneered door with an attractive pattern; it has a half shelf. The lower part has shelves. The cabinet rests on a slightly lighter wood stand and legs. It may have served as a television stand or music system. This is a transitional piece marrying a late art deco style with the soft rounded edges of mid-century styles. Condition: good. Signs of use to the tops. A small piece of veneer missing from the upper left corner above the door. No key. Dimensions: 61.5 cm high, 79 cm long, 42 cm deep.
