Danish teak shelving unit with a hidden desk, 1960s

This elegant Danish mid-century teak wall unit was made in the 1960s. It’s a perfect example of Scandinavian mid-century design, perfect for showcasing your favorite items and providing storage space. The most interesting feature is a secretaire that allows to have a discrete working space in a room. The overall set size is H: 196 / W: 166 / D: 42 cm. The set consists of the drop-down door cabinet, which can be used either as a bureau or a bar cabinet. It features perfect space for storing a laptop or glass and an inner shelf. Several open shelves of varying depths provide ample space for books and decorative objects. All elements are 80 cm wide and can be arranged as needed. Perfect for the living room or home office, this wall unit is an entirely modular shelving system. The unit consists of: A shelf 25 cm depth, Five shelves 60 cm depth, A cabinet with drop-down doors H: 38 / W: 80 / D: 42 cm (depth when fully open: 76 cm), 3 wooden rails 196 cm long, Brass metal hardware. The wall unit has been renovated team. The opening mechanism works smoothly, and all components fit together. We have rejuvenated the wood and finished it with Danish oil to enhance the wood grain.
