1st edition Sergio Asti 'Daruma' lamp for Candle, 1960s

A rare first edition Sergio Asti 'Daruma' lamp (Candle production, 1960s / later editions were made by Fontana Arte). This is the largest size of the model made (42cm high). In our opinion the design works so much better at this scale. It gives out a good strong warm light. Constructed from two parts of hand blown glass, the top part can easily be removed to access the bulb fitting inside. No damage at all. It has its original label and fittings and is fully working as seen.
