This 'LS 120' pendant lamp, designed by Carlo Nason for A.V. Mazzega in the 1970s, consists of three stacked sections made of hand-blown opaline glass from the Venetian island of Murano. While its larger counterpart features four layers, this rare 3-tier edition is exceptionally difficult to find, offering a slightly more compact and balanced silhouette while retaining its iconic sculptural shape. The individual glass elements are designed to fit together in a specific order, making each piece unique. When lit, the combination of the different layers of glass creates a beautiful, warm, and soft light. Carlo Nason – coming from a long line of Murano glassmakers – consciously moved away from traditional glass-making techniques early in his career to explore modernist and geometric forms, culminating in this legendary collaboration with Mazzega. The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The opaline glass is completely intact, with no chips or cracks. The metal hardware, ceiling rose, and suspension system show authentic patina. The wiring and fine steel suspension cable are fully functional, and the height can be adjusted to your preferences. We have two lamps available of this model. Please note that the price is per piece.
