Ceramic vase sgraffito brutalist vintage mid-century decor

This vintage vase from the 1950s features a striking brutalist design. Its distinctive sgraffito technique creates a highly textured surface that immediately catches the eye. Made of brown ceramic, the vase impresses with its organic, bulbous shape and deeply incised lines that cover its entire exterior. The earthy color palette and rough texture highlight the raw, sculptural character of the piece. The vase is in good vintage condition, displaying an authentic patina and—inevitably given the complex surface—slight chips (see photos) that testify to its history. Its structural integrity remains completely intact, and the vase retains its full decorative impact. As an expressive decorative object, this vase beautifully fits into modern, minimalist, or brutalist-inspired interiors. It makes a striking statement whether displayed as a standalone piece of art on a sideboard or arranged alongside other ceramics from the same era.
