Pair of 50s teak chairs of very good quality. The clean and angular line of course evokes the french functionalist design of the post-war period. The structure is made of solid teak lined with zig-zag springs on which soft cushions are placed for incomparable comfort. The seats are not lined with moss but probably with feathers. A flap on the back cushion closes the back of the chairs with pressure buttons and thus masks the springs. These chairs come from the heritage of former senior officials who worked in many french colonies and protectorates of the time (madagascar, indochina, thailand, africa...), they may have been made in these exotic lands. The structure is in perfect original condition, the fabric is also in excellent condition but would require good steam cleaning in case you would like to keep it original. Unit price, one pair available.
