Authentic and rare set of 4 bowls/trays in bright red glazed ceramic, made by the famous ceramist Charles Voltz in Vallauris during the 1950s. A former student of Robert Picault, Charles Voltz distinguished himself by the perfection of his glazes. This lot beautifully showcases his mastery of bright and deep monochromes, emblematic of the modernist period of the pottery town. Each piece is fully hand-signed underneath: "C. Voltz, Vallauris, France." Characteristics: • Material: Red clay, bright cherry red monochrome glaze. • Era: Circa 1950 / Mid-Century Modern. • Diameter: 11.5 cm. • Height: 1.5 cm. • Condition: Superb vintage condition. The glaze has retained all its original shine and brilliance (no cracks, no restoration). Ideal for collectors of Vallauris ceramics (Capron, Picault, Kostanda, Valentin) or to add a stylish 20th-century design touch to your interior.
