Vintage Container and Chest of Drawers Set in Wood and Leather by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto, Italy, 1970s, Set of 2

A pair of tall chests of drawers and Italian storage units from the Artona series, designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa and produced by Maxalto. Made of laminated walnut veneer, the layering is highlighted by the distinctive beveling at the ends of the shelves and sides. The unit is mounted on casters. The doors and drawer fronts are upholstered in black leather. Manufacturer's logo on the sides of each storage unit. Made in Italy in the 1970s.
