Superb pharmacy counter in solid pine and marble slab, having served in a village pharmacy, in the 77! This is not a piece of furniture handcrafted for the needs of a trade but a real carpenter's piece of furniture, extremely beautifully made, made according to the rules of the art and topped with its original heavy marble slab (removable) on which customers were served and medicines were prepared. On the front, it opens with three drawers, two of which have their original lock and the key that operates them. The central one has small compartments inside for coins. On each side, there are 4 drawers with solid wood handles, which slide perfectly and frame a space for the legs. The bottom is slightly inclined for better ergonomics. Each side except the one on the right is decorated with a carved wooden panel, so it can be placed in the middle of a room. The marble slab is rounded at each corner. There are some old, barely visible restorations on one edge. In addition, the keyholes of the two top drawers have disappeared, but again, the visual impact is very low. Apart from that, it is solid, majestic and has a magical patina. If pine is not as luxurious as oak, for example, the 19th century one still has a great look. Note the wood grain on the fronts, or the wide plinth at the bottom. A very classy piece of furniture. To put directly in your living room or kitchen. L: 140. D: 70 h: 90cm.
