Oil on canvas signed by lucie marie caroline lagrenee (paris, 1873 -?), countess of grasse. Bouquet of flowers, anemones and brooms. Dedicated "to madame godart, in memory of an old friendship", dated "cannes 1 january 1942", countersigned on the back. Very good condition. 38 X 46 cm; 56 X 64 cm frame. Daughter of georges lagrenée, former general councillor of the oise and mayor of frocourt near beauvais, owner of the old castle. Married to the count of grasse of the princes of antibes, she lived in the vexin and then in cannes. French artists' society, academy officer. This composition, made at the age of 69, shows a great maturity in his specialty as a flower painter.
