Ceramic head-to-head tea service by J. Pobery

J. Pobery, (design of sonia delaunay) "liberation 1945" hand-painted ceramic tea service. Signed "j. Pobery 45, " "jp 45, " "modele depose" (reverse) Cafeteria h: 19 cm - cups h: 7 cm - saucers d: 15 cm. Milk pot h: 8.5 cm - pot d: 8.5 cm. The design is attributed to sonia delaunay-terk who worked with pobery, especially for powder boxes for jean patou. Historic piece executed to celebrate the liberation of france in 1945 and the defeat of nazi germany. Painted in the red-white blue colours of france and decorated with an embossed dove that takes flight.
