Rare Balassa lounge chair, produced by the Hungarian Ipoly Furniture Company in 1973. Crafted from solid stained beech with its original leather strap suspension, offering outstanding comfort and durability. Professionally reupholstered a few years ago while preserving the original construction. With its sculptural proportions and exposed leather support system, the design is strongly inspired by Brazilian Modernism, reminiscent of the iconic lounge furniture created in Brazil during the 1970s and 1980s. A striking and collectible piece of Hungarian modernist design, ideal for sophisticated vintage interiors.
