Antique glass and bronze candlestick

Bronze openwork corridor lantern. This handheld cage candlestick was used to navigate the corridors to the bedroom; the blown and engraved glass chimney is original and was designed to protect the flame from drafts. 19th century. In good condition. The gilding is patinated. Dimensions: height: 14 cm, diameter of the chimney: 6.5 cm. An uncommon and original item. Very careful shipping.
