Iconic Danish design sled armchair, model 2256 designed by Børge Mogensen for Fredricia Stolefabrik Denmark in the 1950s. This Mid-century modern oak armchair has a beautiful open frame and is an example of sobriety and clear lines. The cushions have been reupholstered with a deep green Bouclé that contrasts beautifully with the light oak. The foam has also been replaced. The armchair comes with a matching ottoman, model 2248, also produced by Fredericia. The set is in very nice vintage condition. The woodwork is in neat condition. A corner at the top of the backrest was re-glued in the past, see photo.
