Interesting oil on canvas composition, dating from the first half of the 20th century, art deco period, late 1930s early 1940s. Presenting a seascape of boats in the harbor, the treatment of the composition follows the codes of chiaroscuro, a technique allowing to play on contrasts. Treating the scene in a naive way, the painter demonstrates a beautiful mastery of these techniques, allowing this painting to be a beautiful composition, decorative and well framed. Lacquered wood frame, typical of this period. Signed lower right, with a signature to be identified. The whole is in very good condition, no major defects to report.
