Pair of danish midcentury modern ceramic table lamps model 3038 by soholm. This pair of ceramic table lamps was produced by soholm stentoj in denmark in the 1970s. Gorgeous handmade lamp bases of round shapes with long conic necks. The bases have a beautiful graphic pattern made of rows of circular shapes glazed in different tones of light blue. The lamps have been rewired with switches and have new sockets and shades. New european wiring and plugs. Need to be checked by a local electrician before put to use. The lamps are marked with company's stamp. The lamps without the shades measure 33 cm in height and 16 cm diametre. Søholm was founded in 1835, in rønne, bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on bornholm, until its closure in 1996. Danish ceramic artist, einar johansen was employed at søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, where his “blue series” is highly sought after today among collectors.
