Charming pair of small oval pictures in embroidered silk known as needle painting, featuring textiles and painted elements, depicting sentimental and moral allegories: "Filial Love" and "The Rest of Virtue". French work, Directoire-Consulat period, around 1800. Blackened wooden frames. Generally in good condition, with some signs of use.
