Painting "Apples (study)" by Maurice Merger (painter 1904-1990) Oil on panel signed Maurice Merger lower right. Elegant still life depicting four apples on a cloth. The old label stuck to the back of the painting indicates the name and place of creation (St Maur Park - Seine). The typical 1950s frame is made of painted wood. The painting is in very good condition. Dimensions (without frame): 33 cm X 22 cm. Dimensions (with frame): 43 cm X 32 cm. Frame thickness: approximately 4.5 cm. Weight: 1.2 kg.
