Here is the famous pair of bookends executed by max le verrier in the 30s. This is the largest and most demonstrative model. It's squirrels are cubizing at will with a pretty patina of chocolate origin gilded on a black marble loading. We find the signature max le verrier on the bottom. Louis octave maxime le verrier (1891–1973), more commonly known as max le verrier, also known as artus was a french sculptor. He was known to be a pioneer within the parisian art deco movement, creating decorative art objects often made of bronze as well as historical sculptures. These bookends are in good general condition, we report, for the most picky, small chips on the marble and some traces of wear and some classic scratches. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the objects. For the state thank you to detail the photos. H5088. Feel free to zoom in. Photos are an integral part of the description. Size: height: 19 cm. Width: 16 cm. Depth: 7 cm.
