Beautiful antique ironstone plate, stamped HB & Cie – Hippolyte Boulenger, Choisy-le-Roi, dating from the late 19th century, probably around 1880. Very pretty deep blue printed decoration depicting a bird perched among branches, fruits, and berries, in a particularly decorative naturalistic style. This series exists with several different compositions combining birds, grapes, hazelnuts, and small fruits. A lovely antique piece, interesting both for completing a service and for wall decoration or a collection of ironstone. In antique condition with a lovely patina: there are two small chips on the edge, visible in the photos, as well as slight scratches, signs of use, crazing, and marks of time. No major damage to report. Dimensions: Diameter: 22 cm. Height: 2.5 cm. Weight: 360 g.
