Jug French in fat lava with handle, Form 172, vintage Vallauris with Drip Glaze

A beautiful pitcher or jug with handle. Has a black base and a drip glaze in blue and brown-yellow reminiscent of fat lava pottery. Likely made in the provence, france, possibly in vallauris. On the base there is a raised imprint that reads "172". Height: 16 cm. Width including the handle: 17 cm. Width of the base: 8 cm.
