Rectangular bamboo mirror, 148x68 cm

Period: ca. 1970. This large rectangular mirror is framed by thick bamboo rods (real bamboo!) and lined with thinner stems on the inner edges. The corners are adorned with woven rattan. The burn marks seen here (as well as traditionally on many bamboo items) are related to the process of harvesting and processing the bamboo stem; it gives character and is not a defect or damage. The mirror glass is in good condition and is clearly a recent replacement. The hook at the back is for hanging it horizontally, but it is certainly possible to put a hook for a vertical hook. Status: good. The mirror is in good condition except for two superficial scratches and one or two dark spots. Dimensions: 68 cm wide, 48 cm high, 4 cm deep, 3.5 kg.
