The circular dish top is a modernist design take on the traditional antique marble specimen table, in this case the resin has a flattering pattern with great veins & movement, in tones of brown, beige, white & green. The surface`s finish is smooth and polished to high gloss. It has a curved edge. A quality spindled gallery in solid brass unifies the design, complementing the the metal golden tones of the base. The gallery is also very practical stopping items placed on the table to slide off the sides. The underneath of the round top is also in resin with a satin enamel finish in cream colour. The top is removable. It easily screws tight to the top flat round portion of the metal frame by 3 screws. The table top is supported by an elegant baluster turned column. The column is in gilt metal & brass, and rises from a cast tripod base in gilt bronze with cabriole legs of simple design & pad feet. Three new felt pads under the feet protect the floor underneath. The quality metal base is heavy making the table very stable. This vintage table is all in very good condition for its age. The vintage patina has been preserved. The resin surfaces are in good condition with a good colour. Minor marks, some rubbing in places & superficial light scratches in line with age & wear. The base is sound. The metal portions are free from any damages and have a warm age patina developed over the years with minor marks & tiny rubbing to the gilt. The table is sturdy and has a good weight.
