Charming antique miniature wooden tray, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, around 1900. At the centre, protected under glass, a delicate hand-painted oil depicts a waterside landscape, with a tiny bell tower with a red roof emerging from the trees. The brushwork is fine and expressive, particularly lovely in the sky, the foliage, and the reflections on the water. The tray is beautifully finished with a moulded wooden frame and two turned wooden handles, enhanced with brass elements. The warm tone of the wood and the quality of the details add a lot of charm to the whole piece. Its miniature size of only 24 cm is particularly appealing and uncommon. Perfect for serving two small coffees or a few liqueur glasses, it can also simply be displayed as a small object painting. In very good antique condition, with slight signs of age.
